The Good Food Institute (GFI) is a global non-profit with the mission to accelerate the transition of the global food system to alternative proteins using the power of food innovation and markets.
FoodTech Israel is a joint venture of Erel Margalit’s Israel Initiative (ii2020) and The Israeli Ministry of Economy and Industry. FoodTech Israel is the Israeli foodtech community and is a non-profit platform of foodtech entrepreneurs, businesspeople, investors, industry players, researchers, regulators, non-profit professionals and other related professionals (3500 members in total), all working to increase the employment, know-how and deal flow in the foodtech sector in Israel.
Start-Up Nation Central is an independent non-profit that builds bridges for Israeli innovation. SNC connects business, government, and NGO leaders from around the world with Israeli innovation, offering Israeli innovators access to high-potential and previously inaccessible markets, through highly customized business engagements, and through the Start-Up Nation Finder engine.

Bruce Friedrich is a TED Fellow, Y Combinator alum, and popular speaker on food innovation. He has penned op-eds for the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Los Angeles Times, Wired, and many other publications. He has appeared on The Today Show, NBC Nightly News, CBS Evening News, TED Radio Hour, and a variety of programs on MSNBC, Fox News, and CNN.
Bruce's TED talk has been viewed more than 1.5 million times. He co-authored two books, contributed chapters to seven more, and has written seven law review articles.
He graduated magna cum laude, Order of the Coif, from Georgetown Law and also holds degrees from Grinnell College, Johns Hopkins University, and the London School of Economics.
